attraction. Originally designed as an underwater filming studio, Marineland opened
to the public on June 23rd 1938. The world had never witnessed such a tremendous
diversity of marine life in one facility. This is where it all began.

Ocean
Realm Foundation
The recently formed New Smyrna Beach foundation (501 C3 applied for) is
seeking financial support or a beachside retail store location donation
between 700 and 1,000 sq.ft. to be used for the establishment of an ocean
media center (library) to house books, CDs, videos and other ocean
educational and entertainment media. Materials housed at the media center
will be made available free of charge to families intersted in furthering
their understanding of the ocean environment and marine life. All donations
will be used to support the overhead and costs of materials. If you are

- Daytona Beach is the "official" summer home of the London Symphony Orchestra every other summer.

gathered from the shallows of the St. Johns River were a staple food of these people.
